Outstanding innovation and client collaboration were on display last Thursday evening as the DWF Group's Recoveries team brought home three awards for excellence in debt recovery, fraud prevention and litigation support.
The team, part of the Mindcrest division, won Debt Recovery of the Year award at the Yorkshire Legal Awards and picked up two recognitions at the Retail Risk Fraud Awards, including Most Innovative Online Retail Risk Management Solution and Best Collaborative Retail Risk Management Solution.
Yorkshire Legal Awards
These awards are presented by Yorkshire Legal, an organization dedicated to providing a platform for the region’s legal news and educational opportunities.
Yorkshire Legal presented the Recoveries team with Debt Recovery of the Year, a recognition of our full Recovery offering. This includes accomplishments in fraud prevention, property damage, uninsured loss recovery, utility debt collection, telecommunications and general debt collection, as well as portfolio management and litigation support

Retail Risk Fraud Awards
Organized by the global company Retail Risk, the Fraud Awards recognize achievements in fraud prevention and recovery. This was the first time DWF Group had entered the Retail Risk Fraud Awards and it centered around a successful eCommerce Civil Recovery program.
Our client had faced a significant increase in fraudulent returns amid a pandemic-driven uptick in eCommerce trading. They trusted their professional services provider to identify and categorise suspicious activity and turned to DWF Group for recovery. DWF worked closely with the two investigative teams to launch an eCommerce recovery program to engage with suspected fraud claimants. The project was an immense success, as DWF recovered hundreds of thousands of pounds for our client in the first four weeks.
This program earned the three companies two recognitions. The first was for Most Innovative Online Retail Risk Management Solution, demonstrating excellence in online risk management by closing process gaps in the fulfilment process. The second was for Best Collaborative Retail Risk Management Solution, which showed tangible business benefits resulting from genuine collaboration between retailers and vendors.
For both the Yorkshire Legal Awards and Retail Risk Fraud Awards, it is an immense honour to not only be recognised for accomplishments in Recoveries, but especially to be awarded alongside a valued client and one of their other strategic partners.
